For foreigners residing in Japan

A resident certificate can be issued in the ward office of one’s city of
residence.
For citizens who have a business in Japan or own a corporation in Japan
need to have a copy of the corporate registration certificate and a certificate
of qualification.

A Residence card is a card that acts as an ID card for foreigners residing in
Japan. With a residence card, a foreigner can stay in Japan for up to five
years and can print a resident certificate in the ward office.

A certificate of seal-impression can be issued in the ward office of one’s city of residence after registering one’s seal at the ward office. For citizens who have a business in Japan or own a corporation in Japan.

A stamp is needed for the purchase procedure. Stamps are not popular in
other countries so getting a stamp in Japan might be a good idea.

FOREIGNERS’ RESIDING ABROAD

If you do not have a resident certificate in your country, you will need to get
an affidavit and have authorized with a notary public. Your authorized
affidavit will act as a resident certificate.
If the buyer is a cooperation, there is a need to get a corporate registration
certification from a competent authority. Also, the buyer will need to confirm that he/she is a representative of the cooperation. To do so, he/she will need to either get a certificate from your own country’s governmental offices or a sworn affidavit proving your status as a representative.

Personal passport or in case of a cooperation, a passport of a representative from the cooperation.

If you do not have a certificate of seal-impression in your country, you will
need to get your signature authorized with a notary public.
